HOW TO BECOME A

CHRISTIAN

Understanding Salvation

Salvation is God’s gift to every person.
It is the beginning of a new life — a life restored, forgiven, and aligned with God’s purpose. Through Jesus Christ, we receive freedom from sin and the power to live the life God has called us to live.

At New Dimension Church, we desire that everyone makes Heaven.
Heaven is God’s eternal home for His children, and it should be the goal of every believer. Salvation is the first step on that journey.

The steps to surrender your life to Jesus

Acknowledge You Are a Sinner

The journey starts with honesty.
Admit before God that you have sinned and fallen short of His standard. You don’t need fancy words — just a sincere heart.
This step is like reading the instructions before using a new device: you must first recognize what is wrong so you can fix it.
Say to God: “Lord, I know I’ve made mistakes. I need Your mercy.”

Confession is telling God exactly what you’ve done and asking Him to wash you clean.
Forsaking your sins means making a decision to turn away from them — not by your power, but by His grace.
Think of it as uninstalling a harmful app from your life. You remove it, and you don’t download it back again.

This is the heart of salvation.
You must believe that Jesus sacrificed Himself for your sins and rose again so you can have a new life.
Faith is the “activate” button — nothing happens until you press it.
When you truly believe, salvation becomes real inside you.

Tell Jesus, “Take over my life.”
This means giving Him leadership — your decisions, habits, and future.
Think of this like giving the correct permissions to an app so it can function properly.
When you surrender, Jesus begins His work of transformation in you.

If you are ready, pray this with a sincere heart:

“Lord Jesus, I come to You today.
I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your mercy.
I believe You died for me and rose again.
Today, I surrender my life to You.
Be my Lord and Savior.
Wash me clean and give me a new beginning.
Thank You for saving me. Amen.”

After Salvation- Walking as a disciple

Getting saved is the beginning; becoming a disciple is the journey.
A disciple is someone who follows Jesus daily, grows spiritually, and lives out God’s Word.
At New Dimension Church, we want to walk with you and help you grow deeper in your relationship with Christ.

Below are simple steps on how to become a strong disciple.

Starting your discipleship Journey

Study and apply God's Word

A disciple feeds on the Word.
Think of the Bible as your user manual for life — everything you need is inside.
Read it daily, even if it’s one chapter, and apply what you learn.

Prayer connects you to God and strengthens your spirit.
It’s your spiritual Wi-Fi — without it, you lose connection.
Talk to God about your day, your struggles, your plans, and your growth.

No believer grows alone.
Fellowship gives you encouragement, correction, support, and family.
Join our church services, small groups, and discipleship classes.

Discipleship is about obedience.
When God teaches you something, practice it.
Your lifestyle should gradually reflect Christ — your words, habits, and choices.
Growth is step-by-step, not rushed

Don’t keep Jesus to yourself.
Tell others about what God has done in your life.
Even saying, “Jesus loves you” can change someone’s story.
Sharing your faith strengthens your own walk.
